Maverick Viñales: World Champion in Moto 3 Category 2013
The MotoGP season is going to end on 10th of November. The Moto 3 race is now over and Maverick Viñales is the world champion moto 3 category 2013.
The last race in Valencia was a nip and tuck battle between Viñales, Rins and Salom. It all started very fast and the three contenders fought for the title. Salom fell at the 14th lap he was fortunately not injured and could finish the race.
Statistics changed and also the hope of Salom’s fans to be the world champion. Who between Viñales or Rins will win?
The last curves were a great battle: Viñales was first, Rins took the first position some curves before the end of the race, Viñales didn’t say his last word and exceeded Rins again. Jonas Folger was 3rd and overtook the duo to take advantage of the battle and passed Rins at the finishing line.
The career of Viñales is brilliant; he started to ride when he was very young and already had good results. In 2002 he was named Runner-Up of Catalonia (50cc) and was in 2003 the best rider in the category Metrakit MiniGP. He was proclaimed champion of Catalonia in PreGP 125 Category and also won the title of Champion of Mediterranean Trophy. As all good riders, it was natural to race in CEV where he finish 2nd in 2009 and Champion in 2010.
He started to race in Moto 3 category in 2011 in Qatar where he finished 9th and also won later in Le Mans. He continued, quiet, steady and humble until the season 2013 where, in Team Calvo, the light shone for him. In Jerez, he had his first victory with this team and the second one was in Le Mans.
In 10 races, he made 10 podiums until Valencia where he was proclaimed World Champion in Moto 3. Next season, he will be the team mate of Luis Salom in Moto 2, in the team of Sito Pons.
